Apple promises fix for annoying iOS 9 bug

Apple recently released iOS 9.3 to consumers but, it turns out, there’s an underlying bug that affects users when they click links inside of Safari. The bug is not limited to iOS 9.3 and also affects other versions of the operating system, 9to5Mac said, noting that a fix is on the way.

The bug isn’t present on every single iPhone, so you might be lucky enough to have not experienced it. 9to5Mac said it appears that it’s totally dependent on which apps are installed on an iPhone, and how they’re accessing links inside of Safari. Ultimately, however, some users are clicking on links and crashing Safari, which isn’t a very user-friendly experience.

“We are aware of this issue, and we will release a fix in a software update soon,” Apple said. We suspect that will be iOS 9.3.1 and hope that Apple launches it sooner than later.
