Halo Wars, Soulcalibur 2 now backwards compatible on Xbox One

Three more games have been added to the ever-growing pile of backwards compatible Xbox 360 titles on the Xbox One. Those three games include one of my favorite under-rated efforts from Ensemble, Halo Wars.

Here are the three just added, as tweeted by Xbox LIVE’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb.

Halo Wars 2 was announced at E3 last year for the Xbox One. That game is obviously still coming, though we haven’t heard much about it since the show. I expect Microsoft will have it with them this year in June.

If you’ve never played Halo Wars and you own an Xbox One, I say give it a shot. The game offers rather simple and easy-to-grasp RTS concepts with a Halo skin, and it does so with a gameplay hook that’s really enjoyable.

As for the two brawlers? I’ve never been a big fan of either, so I’ll have to defer to the comments section below for opinions. Readers?
