We’ve already published our glowing reviews of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, and it turns out Consumer Reports agrees. A recent post from the reviews magazine calls the new devices Samsung’s best yet, and possibly the best among all the current competition.

Specifically, the report points to a few key improvements over last year’s Galaxy S6. The Galaxy S7 brings back expandable storage and a water-resistant rating. It also introduces an impressive rear camera, which the review calls “terrific,” and offers solid battery life.

Overall we agree with Consumer Reports, though we’re curious to see how the LG G5 and HTC’s upcoming flagship phone stack up to the Galaxy S7. For the moment, though, Samsung definitely holds the title for best smartphone around.
