The alleged release date comes from ePrice, which notes that this is “just a rumor.” The report also suggests the initial launch could be limited to Taiwan, where HTC is based. This is a flashy flagship phone, though, so we assume it will be available in the U.S. and other major markets at around the same time.
The HTC 10 is expected to offer a 5.15-inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 820 processor, a 3000mAh battery, 4GB of RAM and at least 32GB of expandable storage. The company’s even teased a new set of BoomSound speakers and “world class” cameras. In a recently leaked benchmark, the new phone also pretty much obliterated the competition, including Samsung’s powerful new Galaxy S7 Edge.
We can’t wait to get our hands on this device. Hopefully, this rumor is true and the HTC 10 will arrive on April 15, but we won’t know for sure until next month when the company makes its big announcement.
