As predicted, Bandai Namco got wind of the Dark Souls III loophole that gamers found through Xbox Live. Using a simple workaround, the exploit allows gamers to buy the game two weeks early and play it in English on the Xbox One.
However, Bandai Namco has spoken out against this method and warned gamers that this version won’t be complete. Those who buy the game internationally won’t be able to access the multiplayer portions of the game, but more importantly, the day-1 patch will not be available to them either. Without the patch, the game will come riddled with bugs, and performance will not be optimized.
Again, as mentioned before, downloading the game through the loophole should be done at your own risk. It would be better to test your patience and wait with the rest of the world. The pain will come soon enough. I promise.
Dark Souls III will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 12.
