HTC 10 obliterates Galaxy S7 Edge in benchmark

The HTC 10 might be the phone to beat this year. HTC will announce the device, its new flagship, on April 12 during an online event. Rumors have been pointing to quite a powerhouse smartphone, but now we’re getting an idea of just how beastly the phone will be.

PhoneArena recently got its hands on a leaked photo of the smartphone that’s displaying an AnTuTu Benchmark score of 156,091 (at the bottom of this post). It appears to handily crush the competition, including Xiaomi’s new Mi 5 flagship, the Galaxy S7 Edge, the iPhone 6s and the Huawei Mate 8, which seems to be good news for HTC’s new smartphone.

Keep in mind, however, that while these scores might offer bragging rights to the geekiest of fans, they don’t always trickle down to much when it comes to everyday usage. In other words, an end user might not see a difference on a phone just because one scores 140,000 in AnTuTu and another scores 150,000.

In any case, the HTC 10 is shaping up to be quite exciting. We’ll know everything we need to come April 12.
