Disney just can’t be stopped as of late.
Disney has scored another success with Zootopia, and we aren’t too surprised as we loved it. The film scored a great third weekend with $38M for a new domestic total of $201.8M. Added in with its growing international numbers and the film has already taken in $591.7M globally.
2. The Divergent Series: Allegiant
The Divergent Series: Allegiant opened to a series low of $29M, leaving many industry pundits to wonder if Lionsgate made the right call in splitting the final novel into two parts. Either way the film opened to $29M in the U.S. and stands at $82.45M globally.
3. Miracles from Heaven
Jennifer Garner’s new Miracles from Heaven opened to a decent $15M off of its $13M budget.
4. 10 Cloverfield Lane
10 Cloverfield Lane, the surprise film from Bad Robot, fell 49.4 percent in its second weekend to take in $12.5M. It now stands at $45.1M domestically.
Deadpool slipped to fifth place in its sicth week of release and took in $8M. The Merc with a Mouth now stands at $340.94M in the U.S., $379.2M foreign for a global total of $720.14M. All from a $58M budget.
