Tesla has showrooms and floors in various parts of the country but, until now, it didn’t have any sort of major presence in New York City (yes, there’s a store on 25th street, but it’s not as big or as outfitted as this one.) That will change tomorrow when it finally opens its Brooklyn store and showroom, which was first announced earlier this year.
Tesla is hoping the showroom will attract buyers – specifically, east coast city dwellers to its new cars. It should be the perfect place to show off its new affordable car, which we’re expecting to finally meet during the company’s March 31 press conference. But that’s not all. Consumers will be able to walk in, learn more about what Tesla is about and then, if they so choose, can design and configure their very own Tesla. Mashable said orders should arrive within 6-8 weeks from the time you step into the new Brooklyn location.
Even better, Tesla owners in and around New York City now have a new destination for repairs. Yep, that’s right, you’ll be able to get your regularly scheduled check-ups in the new location, too. Hit the source for more info.
