Google releases first Android N preview update

Google on Thursday rolled out the first update to its Android N preview, which users can update over-the-air right now. If you’re on a Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9 or Nexus 9 LTE, you should see a prompt to download the newest update. We’re on a Nexus 6 here in the office but haven’t seen anything yet.

It’s unclear if anything major has changed in the latest release but we’ll update as soon as we know more. While the first preview was relatively stable, there were still plenty of bugs, so chances are Google is using today’s update to fix some bugs.

Last week, Google surprised everyone by releasing the first preview of Android N ahead of Google I/O in May. You can check out our hands-on of the software in the video above, which includes new features such as multi-window support and a revamped notification shade.
