Gravity Falls creator recreates presidential nominees as Pokémon

Need to take a break from politics in this contentious year? Well, you’re not going to find any respite in the loving embrace of PokémonGravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch has released an epic series of Twitter posts re-envisioning each of the leading presidential candidates as iconic, first-generation Pokémon.

Be prepared to smile! These are super-effective!

Hirsch said he tried his best, but he was unable to do Ted Cruz. Nor could fellow Gravity Falls artist Dana Terrace, who also participated in the #PresidentialPokemon, but Terrace came close.

Okay, now that that’s out of the way, we’re back to politics as usual. I hope your brief break got a few chuckles.
