Apple’s rumored iPhone SE is right around the corner, but Samsung may be cooking up a response to the upcoming 4-inch smartphone. A new report out of Taiwan claims a Galaxy S7 mini could be in the works with a mix of premium and mid-range hardware.

The Galaxy S7 mini allegedly packs a 12-megapixel rear camera and a cutting-edge processor (Snapdragon 820 or Eyxnos 8890 depending on region), along with a 4.7-inch 720p display and 3GB of RAM. The phone could also be noticeably thicker than its flagship sibling, with an alleged 9.9mm frame. It’s unclear if the device will pack a fingerprint reader or include support for Samsung Pay.

Samsung has offered mini versions of its flagship phones in the past, most recently with the Galaxy S5 mini. Rumors of an S6 mini also circulated for a while, but that device never materialized. So a Galaxy S7 mini isn’t out of the question, especially if Apple’s iPhone SE becomes a hit.
