LeEco Le 2 Pro shaping up to be a beast of an Android smartphone

LeEco, the LeTV brand in other parts of the world, is building a new flagship Android smartphone. We first heard a bit about the phone earlier this week, when a report from MyDrivers leaked a few images and specs for the device. Now another report provides some details on what sort of display the phone might pack when it finally launches.

An image from Weibo spotted by Priceraja suggests the device will pack a 5.7-inch Quad HD display in addition to 4GB of RAM and a 3,100mAh battery. That last spec is actually a bit worrisome, considering a Quad HD display of that size is really going to chew through a battery quite easily. The Galaxy S7 Edge, which has great battery life, has a smaller 5.5-inch Quad HD display but a much larger 3,600mAh battery. Something to keep in mind.

Other specs, which line up with the earlier report, include a USB-C port, a MediaTek Helio X20 processor (though a Snapdragon 820 is also said to be considered) and a 21MP camera. Sounds nice, but also unlikely we’ll ever see this launch in the U.S.
