Portal 2

If I had escaped from the clutches of the evil Aperture, I would be in no rush to ever go back. However, Portal fans can once again return to the franchise’s universe with a brand new virtual reality playground called The Lab.

Valve confirmed the existence of its “compilation of VR experiments” in a press release, saying that it would make its grand debut at GDC 2016 next week and ultimately be released sometime in the early spring.

Valve has announced plans to debut “The Lab,” a compilation of new VR experiments, at next week’s Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, CA. Set in a pocket universe of Aperture Science, “The Lab” offers multiple ways to enjoy room-scale VR. It will be offered free of charge via Steam this spring. More information will be made available next week at GDC.

In the press release, Valve made no mention of what kind of activities will be available in The Lab, but I suspect that cake will somehow be involved. Stay tuned for more next week.
