The Huawei P9 is expected to arrive this spring, and now we may finally know exactly when the device will get an official unveiling. A leaked invitation strongly suggests the flagship phone could debut next month at a special event in London.
The invitation, which was published by Hungarian site Tech2, reveals plans for a Huawei event on Wednesday, April 6. It also includes the tagline “change the way you see the world” below the symbols “#oo.” That could be a reference to the phone’s rumored dual 12-megapixel rear cameras, which allegedly sit next to each other and may offer new ways to shoot videos and photos.
The P9 is expected to sport a 5.2-inch 1080p display, Huawei’s own Kirin 950 chip, a 3900mAh battery, a fingerprint reader, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The company may also offer a premium version with 4GB of RAM and a faster Kirin 955 processor, along with a cheaper P9 Lite and a super-sized P9 Max or P9 Plus.
Huawei could unveil all four handsets in a little less than a month, but we have a feeling even more information may leak out before then. So check back soon for the latest news on the upcoming P9 lineup.
