Pokémon’s Ash Ketchum’s room recreated in Unreal Engine 4

by Joey Davidson | March 7, 2016March 7, 2016 1:30 pm PDT

This might be the nerdiest/best thing I’ll see this week. Jarlan Perez on YouTube has recreated Pokémon star Ash Ketchum’s  room in Unreal Engine 4.

This is a fan recreation, of course. Perez explains in the video’s description that he did the work “in honor of the 20th year anniversary of Pokémon.” He offers that the room wound up “being almost a blend of multiple points in time in the series. Ash wore Red’s style hat at a later point in the series so I use it instead. Good tribute to both.”

I don’t care, this is cool. I’m not normally on the “bring us a console, 3D Pokémon train,” but videos like these make me reconsider my stance.

Kudos, Jarlan Perez. This is cool.
