HTC is taking its time teasing its next major smartphone, but the Internet has other ideas. A flurry of leaked photos were recently published on Twitter, offering a pretty detailed look at the so-called HTC 10.
The images come from Evan Blass and Steve Hemmerstoffer, two technology bloggers who seem to be competing in some friendly one-upmanship. Hemmerstoffer struck first with a trio of pictures, showing a black version of the device with some identifying information blurred out. Soon afterwards, Blass responded with a press render of the HTC 10 in silver.

Hemmerstoffer followed up with two more bits of information. First, it looks like the HTC 10 will sport the company’s signature BoomSound speakers in some capacity. An AnTuTu benchmark also shows the phone easily beating most of last year’s flagship phones. That’s not much of a surprise since it also allegedly packs a next-gen Snapdragon 820 processor, along with a 5.15-inch Quad HD display, 4GB of RAM, a 12-UltraPixel camera and USB-C.
HTC is expected to unveil the new phone at a dedicated event in April, but at this rate there may not be much left to actually reveal by then.
