Huawei is gearing up to announce its next flagship phone, and it turns out the big news could be just a week away. A recent teaser from the company suggests we could see the rumored P9 unveiled next week on March 9 in Berlin.
The image, which was first shared on Chinese social network Weibo a few days ago, doesn’t offer many details beyond the date and location. It’s possible this could just be a Huawei-sponsored meetup, but a thread of comments below the original post suggests the company really is hinting at the P9.
We may already know pretty much everything about the P9 thanks to numerous leaks and rumors. Huawei is expected to offer four different versions of the device, including a cheaper P9 Lite, a large-screened model, a standard P9 and a premium version with beefed up hardware. The smartphone is also set to pack a dual-camera array and a fingerprint reader in back.
Under the hood, Huawei could include one of its own Kirin processors, along with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and a 3900mAh battery. We still don’t know how much the phone will cost or whether it will be available in the U.S., but we hope the company will reveal all the remaining details at its event next week.
