Raspberry Pi 3 released: 10x faster than the original for $35

It’s been four years since Raspberry Pi first launched, and the no-frills budget-friendly computer is still going strong. To celebrate its birthday this year the company is releasing a third-generation model, adding a handful of useful features without raising the device’s $35 price.

The Raspberry Pi 3 packs a 64-bit quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, making it 10 times more powerful than the original model and 50 to 60 percent faster than the Raspberry Pi 2. It also offers built-in support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. That’s a big upgrade from earlier releases, which needed extra attachments to create a wireless connection.

Beyond being a nice upgrade over its predecessor, the Raspberry Pi 3 helps the company expand into the smart home market. The new computer could help power connected gadgets right out of the box, or even serve as a hub for your entire home.

The Raspberry Pi 3 is available now to order online. The company only has a few hundred thousand units to start, though, so hit the source link below if you’re dying to get your hands o one.
