Nintendo’s Miitomo registration now open, link your Facebook, Google, Twitter accounts

Nintendo has taken a huge leap into the present by opening its registration for the new Nintendo Account system. Nintendo users can now link their Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and even their old Nintendo Network ID accounts to access the ever improving online world of Nintendo.

We’re partying like it’s 2013 up in this joint!

Keep in mind that while you can sign up right now, there’s not a whole lot to it yet. Nintendo’s services, like the My Nintendo awards program and the Miitomo mobile game, don’t kick off until March. Jumping in and authenticating right away is a little pointless, but if you’ve got a spare second, why not get ahead of the curve? As of right now, you are able to pre-register Miitomo from today if you feel so inclined. If you do pre-register, you’ll get points for Nintendo’s upcoming royalty rewards program.

Keep in mind that this is separate from Nintendo Network IDs, which work more directly with the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. You’ll be able to link those to your new account once you register.
