Nintendo of America plans to follow in the footsteps of its European counterpart and re-release a series of its recent hits through the Nintendo Selects line-up. Each will be available as a physical release for a discounted price. Canadian retailer VGP Video Games Plus leaked the news by accidentally listing the deal.
The games will launch on March 11, and they will cost $29.99 for both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS releases. The initial list includes plenty of hits and a few misses. Check it out in its entirety below.
- Animal Crossing: City Folk
- Donkey Kong Country Returns
- Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
- Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
- Mario Party: Island Tour
- NES Remix Pack
- Pikmin 3
- Super Mario All-Stars
- Super Mario Galaxy 2
- Super Mario 3D World
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
- Yoshi’s New Island
The Donkey Kong and Super Mario games obviously steal the show, and Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 3DS is still the best version of the classic action/adventure game. But man, I still love me some Yoshi’s New Island. That game got way too much hate when it came out. Still solid I say, and it’s cheaper than ever if you want to take the chance and believe me.
Nintendo has yet to confirm the line-up, so treat this as rumor until it does.
