iPhone 5se: Second supplier named to ensure stock

Apple is expected to debut a 4-inch iPhone 5se sometime next month during a still-rumored event, where the iPad Air 3 is also expected to show its face. The iPhone 5se may cater to a crowd that has so far shunned the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus due to higher price points and larger screen sizes.

In order to make sure there’s enough supply to meet demand, Apple has reportedly tapped Wistron to help build the iPhone 5se. Wistron will join Foxconn which already had orders from Apple, DigiTimes said. Wistron had alread had its hands in the project working on “iPhone touch panel lamination,” the news outlet explained.

Rumor has it the iPhone 5se will debut shortly after it’s announced by Apple, so it’s likely Wistron and Foxconn are already hard at work building the phone.
