Galaxy S7 details unveiled by Samsung ahead of MWC

How similar will Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge be to last year’s models? Well, according to some details spied by Phone Probe, pretty damn similar. And that’s good because the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge were among the best phones of 2015.

Samsung’s newest models, as we’ve seen previously, will pretty much keep the same formula that was so successful for the company last year. The only difference this generation is that we’ll see some new internals, along with the addition of water resistance and an improved camera, as photos above suggest. I’m sure we’ll hear no complaints from fans.

You can see hints to that in the video below, which features the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus but is teasing a new gallery. The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is getting drenched in a downpour, which that phone actually isn’t capable of. Seems Samsung may decide to add that feature to the Galaxy S7, as we’ve already heard in some rumors. Also, note the water splashes in the gallery above, part of Samsung’s new teaser.

Set for an announcement on Feb. 21, we’re expecting both devices to pack a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM and a 12-megapixel camera. Extras, such as expandable storage, are still unconfirmed, but reports have suggested it’s a real possibility. Basically, you can expect last year’s phones, but better.
