Duck Hunt remade in Virtual Reality, complete with a hub world

by Joey Davidson | February 12, 2016February 12, 2016 6:55 am PDT

It turns out that darn Duck Hunt dog is just as annoying in virtual reality. Those digital giggles, folks.

Joseph Delgado, a 21-year-old computer science student at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, made a fun little virtual reality project inspired by Duck Hunt. He did it in 24 hours for the Global Game Jam, and he even went about creating a hub world.

You can watch Delgado navigate said hub space, select a level and blast ducks in virtual reality like a real champion in the video above. It’s pretty awesome hearing the birds flapping their retro wings and watching Delgado scan the entire 360 degree space for ducks.

I want this. I know it’s just a little side project that’s totally unofficial, but I want it so much. Good work, Joseph. You can read more about the project in his blog linked below.
