Tim Cook deleted his crappy Super Bowl picture

We covered a story on Monday in which the Internet decided to rag on Tim Cook for posting a blurry picture during the Super Bowl. To be fair, he shot two pictures and only one was blurry, but it sent the Internet in a frenzy. People were mocking the iPhone 6, creating funny mock-up billboards and more. Cook must have taken the jabs to heart, because the photo was recently deleted.

It’s not clear if Apple public relations asked Cook to pull the photo – it was a pretty bad representation of what is otherwise a really good mobile camera – or if Tim Cook himself decided enough was enough. But there’s some sort of unwritten rule on the Internet about deleting posts – as if doing so makes the matter much worse than the original situation. Cook could have left the photo up and the story would have eventually died down. Who really cares, right?

But it’s gone and the ribbing will stop. Something tells me Apple might make a joke about this in a future press conference, though.
