Need extra Google Drive storage but don’t want to pay for it? Now is your chance to get an additional 2GB absolutely free simply by competing Google’s security checkup. It will probably take you less than a minute, and the extra storage is free for life.

Google is holding the giveaway — the same one it ran last year — to celebrate Safer Internet Day 2016. Taking place today, SID promotes safer and more responsible use of online technology — especially among young children.

To claim your free storage, simply follow the source link below and sign in with your Google account to take part in the security checkup. It will ask you to confirm things like your cellphone number and backup email, and the devices connected to your account.

Assuming you don’t have to make any changes, it takes less than a minute, and Google gives you your additional 2GB of Drive storage instantly. What’s more, this is not a limited-time upgrade — your storage limit is increased for life, and it will remain free.

It’s unclear how long you have to claim the upgrade. Google gave us a week last year, but it doesn’t provide an expiration date, so it’s probably best you go make your claim before it’s too late.
