Microsoft has slashed $50 off its new Band 2 until February 20. The discount reduces the price of the smart fitness tracker to $199 just four months after it made its initial debut, but it’s only available to those who reside in the U.S.
The Band 2 looks a lot like its predecessor, but it’s a big improvement inside and out, with a more refined design and new sensors. It tracks your workouts, steps, sleep, and heart rate — and has a GPS for tracking routes and improving your golf game.
It’s also one of a small few trackers that boasts a UV monitor. If you’re out and about on a sunny day, this gives you an idea of exactly how strong the UV rays hitting your skin are. It also provides UV alerts to let you know when you’re exposed.
The Band 2 is compatible with Android, iOS, and Windows smartphones, and it has smartwatch functionality, allowing you to view things like incoming calls, text messages, and emails before deciding whether you need to pull your phone out of your pocket.
Normally priced at $249 in the U.S., the Band 2 is now just $199 for a limited time through Microsoft’s own online store. You have until February 20 to take advantage of the discount.
