Instagram finally adds official multi-account support

After a few months of testing, Instagram on Monday announced users can finally (and easily) switch between multiple accounts. The feature has been one of the most requested among Instagram users, especially by people who handle social media accounts professionally. The update will be available later this week for both iOS and Android in version 7.15.

“Go to your profile settings to add an additional account,” Instagram explained. “From there, tap your username at the top of your profile to switch between accounts. Once you have multiple accounts added, you’ll see your profile photo appear in places throughout the app so you can always tell which one you’re using at the moment.”

Rejoice, hardcore Instagram users. Your day in the sun has come. As a warning, Instagram says there might be some early quirks, such as receiving push notifications from any account that has them turned on. “This depends on when you last logged in and the number of devices that are logged in to an account,” Instagram said.
