Conan O’Brien plays DOOM with Super Bowl 50 stars… and Marshawn Lynch

Because it was such a huge hit last year, Conan O’Brien is once again playing video games with a pair of opposing Super Bowl stars in his popular Clueless Gamer segment. This time, he partners up with the Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller and Panthers cornerback Josh Norman to play id Software’s upcoming DOOM reboot.

The preview looks awfully dry, lacking the spark or chemistry that Conan was able to tap into last year. What’s missing you might ask? Well, Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, that’s what! What made the segment such a breakaway hit last year was the rare look into the hilarious and natural entertainer that resides within Beast Mode, spawning a popular meme the Internet labeled Lynchisms.

Conan invited Marshawn Lynch to come along and play anyway despite not taking part in the Super Bowl. The man proves he needs to be in the Super Bowl every year if it means he gets to play video games with Conan O’Brien.

Super Bowl 50 airs this Sunday, Feb. 7 at 6:30 PM. DOOM launches on May 13 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Go Panthers!
