Hilarious Jolly Roger robot can drive telemarketers insane

We’ve had our own fair share of telemarketers and scammers trying to reach us by phone. They can be annoying, they never stop and, in some cases, can even get threatening.

Now we can just send a robot after them.

A new bot called the “Jolly Roger,” recently highlighted by Mic, is capable of driving a telemarketer insane, all while you sit back and laugh. The bot will respond to telemarketers with phrases like “Hello?” suggesting that they can’t be heard and “Yes?” forcing them to, sometimes, restart their pitch, repeat what they just said or stutter in confusion.

You can listen in on a hilarious clip below where the robot starts suggesting that he just woke up from a nap and says: “I’m kind of groggy, so, can you maybe start over a little slower?” Then the robot continues to answer questions with: “Uh huh, yea, yea.” It’s amazing and the telemarketer’s frustration is palpable.

The tables have turned. Want to try it for yourself? Add the Jolly Roger bot to your next telemarketer call by adding a new caller and dialing 214-666-4321.
