Google 3D Touch update adds a fun new way to use the app

For most app icons, 3D Touch just means quick utilitarian shortcuts, but leave it to Google to try something different. The company recently rolled out a new feature for its iOS app that’s fun and helpful at the same time.

Hold down on the Google icon on your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus and you’ll see a new option called “I’m Feeling Curious.” Tap it and the app will pick up a quick fun fact. It’s a great way to pass the time if you’re bored and feel like learning something new.

Google actually introduced “I’m Feeling Curious” last fall. The feature originally showed up as an Easter Egg on the company’s home page and we were immediately hooked. Now it’s even easier to learn a fun new fact on your iPhone. Google always includes a source as well, so you can learn more if your interest is piqued.

The update also brings some bug fixes and stability improvements. You can grab it now via the source link below if your Google app hasn’t updated automatically already.
