Twitter’s new Moments feature, which lets you find hot topics in an instant, is now opening up to U.K. advertisers just three months after making its debut in the U.S. The first Promoted Moments will come from Tesco, Sky, and Xbox.
“Moments take people to the heart of a story, and brands have always been behind some of the best creative integrations on the platform,” Twitter says. “That’s why we’re so pleased to be partnering with @Tesco, @SkyUK, and @xboxuk on the launch of Promoted Moments in the UK.”
Designed to look just like regular Moments, Promoted Moments appear for 24 hours and promise to give brands “a powerful visual canvas” upon which they can advertise products, services, promotions, and more to Twitter’s millions of users.
The first Promoted Moment from Xbox will advertise the launch of Quantum Break, the latest exclusive from Microsoft Studios — while Tesco will be showcasing its new Feel Good Cookbook, which provides tips and recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Twitter users in the U.K. can expect to see Promoted Moments from many more advertisers in the coming weeks and months.
