SEGA confirms Valkyria Chronicles Remastered in the States, mum on Azure Revolution

As expected, SEGA confirmed yesterday that Valkyria Chronicles Remastered will be available in the English speaking world this coming spring. The PlayStation 4 retooling of the beloved PlayStation 3 strategy RPG will come in a special case for the first printing, and it will cost gamers $29.99.

Valkyria Chronicles Remastered upgrades the game’s graphics, includes both the Japanese and English audio tracks, and, unlike the PlayStation 3 original, adds trophy support. On top of that, it’s just a fabulous game worthy of playing a first time or for a hundredth time.

However, while we are trilled to be given another chance to play this game, SEGA was mum on the issue of its successor, Valkyria: Azure Revolution. This follow up is in development by Valkyria Chronicles 3 and Wild ARMs studio Media.Vision and is confirmed for a Winter release in Japan. Japanese fans who buy the first shipment of Valkyria Chronicles Remastered even get a demo!

SEGA has not confirmed a demo or the English version of Azure Revolution, leading some worried fans to believe that it will follow in the footsteps of Valkyria Chronicles 3 and not by localized. All in good time, I say.

Valkyria Chronicles Remastered launches for the PlayStation 4 in the Spring. A similar version is already available on the PC through Steam.
