Ah, there it is. There’s the “official leak” for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game, as tweeted by Platinum Games yesterday. And, yes, it leaked ahead of the intended reveal time.
Activision has tapped Platinum to take a crack at the license featuring the heroes in a half-shell. Thus we have Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan, which is what you see at the head of this post. Platinum Games is the same studio behind the critically acclaimed Bayonetta games, and they also made the likes of fan-favorites Vanquish and The Wonderful 101.
The game looks a lot like what Platinum did with the Transformers license as they took at shot at it with Transformers Devestation. That game was simple, but fun, and it was certainly one of the better uses of the brand.
Let’s hope that’s what we’ll see with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan, which is a name that is absurdly long.
This TMNT title is set to release in the Summer of 2016. It’s slated for the PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 platforms.
