The HTC One M10 (codenamed Perfume) was supposed to be a breath of fresh air, but a new rumor claims the device could be more of the same instead. According to Twitter tipster Evan Blass, the One M10 is headed to AT&T with a design similar to last year’s One A9.

That first bit of news doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The One M10 is set to be HTC’s next flagship phone, which means it will most likely be available from all the major carriers. If it’s anything like the One A9, the company may also sell an unlocked version straight to customers.

Speaking of the One A9, Blass suggests the One M10 could look pretty similar to the company’s last major smartphone. However, while the A9 offered a mix of mid-range specs, we assume the M10 will be more of a flagship device. Hopefully that means a Snapdragon 820 processor, a powerful camera and maybe even a Quad HD display.
The One A9 wasn’t an ugly device—it actually looks pretty nice—but it wasn’t very original either. We were hoping HTC would try something new with the One M10, but it sounds like that may not happen.
The HTC One M10 isn’t expected to arrive for at least a few more months, but it should launch sometime this spring following a dedicated press event to announce the new phone.
