OnePlus X OxygenOS 2.2.0 update rolling out now, here’s what’s new

OnePlus announced Monday that OxygenOS 2.2.0 is now rolling out to the OnePlus X, the company’s new entry-level smartphone. The update follows on the heels of a big software push to the OnePlus One, which started rolling out last week.

OnePlus detailed a few of the big changes, which include:

  • Manual mode for Camera App
  • Save to SD card option in Camera App
  • USSD bug fix for India
  • Added dual SIM preferences back in system settings
  • OTA App upgrade
  • Security patches
  • General bug fixes and optimizations

Manual mode should be a particularly welcome addition. It should allow folks to gain additional controls while framing and snapping a photo, and the “save to SD card” will provide a new place to store those pictures. The update is rolling out now, but OnePlus says to “be patient” if you don’t see it right away.

You’ll certainly want to patch as soon as possible, though, especially given this includes the most recent security patches.
