WARNING: FORESEEING THAT YOU FOOLISH HUMANS WILL COMPLAIN ABOUT SPOILERS HAS LED ME TO DECIDE THAT I WILL LEAVE THIS FULLY ARTICULATE AND ACCURATE WARNING ABOUT THEM RIGHT HERE!

The Undertale fanbase really knows no bounds, does it? DeviantART user WalkingMelonsAAA has unleashed her first attempt at animation, and she has chosen the pacifist boss battle between protagonist Frisk and the superstar robot Mettaton EX as the subject. It’s rough animation, but come on… a fan did this in her free time! Absolutely fabulous is you ask me.

The animation contains 741 individual pictures that WalkingMelonsAAA drew and scanned frame-by-frame, not having access to proper animation software.

Undertale was a surprise indie hit in 2015, scoring countless fans across the Internet and a rabid following the likes of which hasn’t been seen by a single title in a very long time. I think Portal comes to mind for a good comparison. To this day, the fanbase continues to dig through the game and find even more details tucked away in the text and setting, and they never seem to get tired of professing their love for it.

Excellent work, and if you haven’t played Undertale yet, be sure to do so soon. It’s a one of a kind title and one of the best original titles in 2015.
