The BlackBerry Priv will finally launch on a second U.S. carrier beginning next week. T-Mobile announced Tuesday that the device will be available online and in T-Mobile stores beginning January 26.
It’s big news for several reasons. First: T-Mobile and BlackBerry had a bit of a falling out over the past several years, and this marks the first flagship BlackBerry smartphone — at least in recent memory — to grace the company’s shelves. Second, the BlackBerry Priv is still one of our favorite Android smartphones, offering a solid mix of security features, high-end hardware and great software. We’re glad it’s now in reach of more consumers.
T-Mobile will charge $0 down with 18 monthly payments of $34 for the BlackBerry Priv on its “JUMP! On Demand” plans. It will also be available with interest-free financing for $0 down with 24 monthly payments of $30. The full retail price is $719.99.
