After four weeks at the top, Star Wars has been dethroned.
1. Ride Along 2
The new Ice Cube and Kevin Hart comedy Ride Along 2 debuted in the top spot with $34M off of its $40M budget. While healthy, it did come in under the opening weekend of the original film.
2. The Revenant
Leonardo DiCaprio’s latest film held on to the number two spot in its second weekend. It took in $29.5M this weekend bringing its domestic total to $87.67M off of a $135M budget.
3. Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is finally slipping, and it looks like it won’t be setting many more records.
As for the weekend, the film took in $25.12M domestically. It now stands at $851M domestic and $1.012B foreign for a global total of $1.869B.
4. 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi
Michael Bay’s latest film, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi opened in fourth place with $16M off of a $50M budget.
5. Daddy’s Home
Daddy’s Home, the latest comedy from Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg took in $9.3M this weekend for a new domestic total of $129M off of an estimated budget of $50M.
