There are more reasons than ever to sign up for Amazon Prime. Normally I’d suggest you do so immediately — the free two-day shipping alone is worth it to me, so Prime Music, Prime Instant Video and other benefits are just icing on the cake.
But you should make that decisions right now.
Amazon has announced that, beginning Friday, January 15, it will offer a one-year subscription to Amazon Prime for $73. That’s down from its standard $99 price and well worth everything included in the service. The deal runs through 11:59 p.m. Pacific on Sunday, January 17.
The sale is in celebration of the 73rd annual Golden Globe Awards, for which Amazon took home a prize for Mozart in the Jungle. The company will also allow anyone to watch the first two seasons of the series for free this weekend.
