Google CEO Sundar Pichai on Tuesday announced Google I/O 2016 will take place between May 18-20, and be held in Mountain View at the Shoreline Amphitheater. According to Pichai, the location is special because it’s the same neighborhood where the first I/O conference was held a decade ago. Look how far Google has come since then.
Pichai said more details about the event would be shared soon, but it’s already a safe bet for us to expect what Google has planned for the next version of Android. Aside from that, it’s unclear what the search giant will talk about. Self-driving cars? Google Glass 2.0? Chrome OS? All very real possibilities.
