40 PS3 exclusives hit PS Now this week, including Heavenly Sword and more

Sony is continuing to build the PlayStation Now library in hopes of tempting more fans into the world of whole-game streaming. To ring in the new year, Sony has added 40 new games to the service, all of which are PlayStation 3 exclusive titles. This brings the total list of PlayStation exclusives up over 100.

While it’s still debatable whether our current internet infrastructure is powerful enough to handle streaming live gameplay, Sony is doing a pretty good job making interesting content available.

The list of new exclusive games represents what set the PlayStation 3 apart from other offerings of the previous generation, both in big, full disc releases and in the PS 3’s unique, curated library of downloadable titles.

Thatgamecompany’s collection of games like Flow, Flower, and Journey are available, as well as quirky stuff like LocoRoco Cocoreccho, The Unfinished Swan, and Linger in Shadows. Heavenly Sword and a bunch of Killzone games join the list as well. If your internet connection can handle it, there’s tons of stuff here to enjoy.

For a few more days, Sony has a year-long subscription available for $99.99 as well as a free 7-day trial to see if games are playable for you.
