Steam hit a new peak for concurrent users over the New Year’s holidays, clocking in at 12 million individuals shopping and playing games. The record came in at 2PM EST on Jan 4th when Steam capped out exactly at 12,332,504 players enjoying their spoils from the Steam Holiday Sale.
The previous New Year’s holiday record was 8.5 million, showing just how much Steam has grown in a short amount of time.
I was not among these 12 million players, though, since I was extremely busy catching some much needed sun in The Philippines. Rough work, let me tell you. However, now that I am back to my normal routine, I am enjoying the Ys games that I picked up during the sale in between articles.
Man, it’s so nice to not having any games that I need to review.
I snagged up Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim in the sale. What did you buy?
