BlackBerry Priv looks like it’s headed for T-Mobile

It looks like the BlackBerry Priv won’t be an AT&T exclusive for much longer. Following word that Verizon plans on offering the slider, it looks like T-Mobile is also gearing up to welcome BlackBerry’s new flagship. The device is currently only available through AT&T, though you can also get it unlocked straight from BlackBerry.

According to a document sent to Phone Arena, the Priv could launch on T-Mobile as soon as Jan. 26, which is about a month away. The document refers to the Priv by its codename, Venice, but it’s plain as day to see. If you were upset AT&T got exclusive dibs on the Priv, it looks like that’s not going to last forever.

Of course, T-Mobile hasn’t officially said whether it’s going to offer the Priv or not. Guess we’ll find out in January.

Although it was by no means perfect, the BlackBerry Priv was a pleasant surprise, offering some neat tricks, a good camera experience, and a great keyboard. In fact, it made our top five smartphones of the year list, which says a lot about the phone’s quality considering how many solid devices we saw in 2015.

We’ll let you know more about price and releases as soon as official word drops.
