Super Mario Galaxy available today on the Wii U

Following the ESRB leak from last week, Nintendo wants to wish you all a very Merry Christmas with the long overdue digital release of the beloved Wii hit, Super Mario Galaxy. The platformer will be available today through the Wii U eShop for $19.99, but it will not come with any HD overhaul or the like.

It’s just a straight port of the massively popular title.

I was thinking of dropping a few clams to try it out, mostly because I’m one of the five Nintendo fans who just can’t get into it, but I nearly forgot that I have a perfectly good copy staring me in the face. Maybe I’ll take that $20 and save it for something else in the future…

Who am I kidding? I’ll probably spend it on a game. I don’t own a copy of Super Mario Galaxy 2, and we have a Steam sale going on! Who can save money at a time like this?!
