Fantastic indie action game Noitu Love: Devolution coming to 3DS and Wii U in 2016

I need to give a little love to this excellent game. The first Noitu Love game, try reading that backwards, was doing indie gaming all the way back in 2006 before “indie gaming” even became a thing. It beat Braid, Castle Crashers, and that whole first blockbuster wave out the door by two years! Released in 2006 as a genuine free-to-play title, it was on the scene with the likes of Cave Story before people realized that you could make a pretty penny from your personal creations.

Two years later in 2008, developer Joakim Sandberg got around to making a much-improved sequel titled Noitu Love 2: Devolution and was able to finally make a bit of money from his excellent creation, and it finally hit the big leagues on Steam in 2012.

Now, thanks to MP2 Games a full eight years later, the colorful action-packed sequel will be released for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U in 2016. The mouse functions look to be perfectly replicated with the touchscreens, and it has been re-titled Noitu Love: Devolution to avoid confusion about the series’ timeline. If you love old-school action games, this is definitely one to check out.

If you want a preview, you can also buy the Steam version on sale for mere pennies. Definitely one of the best deals you can find in the holiday sale.
