The Xbox Store’s “biggest sale ever” begins today

by Eric Frederiksen | December 22, 2015December 22, 2015 6:00 am PDT

The Xbox Store’s biggest sale ever is on, and just in time to compete for your money against Steam’s winter sale.

Starting today and going through January 7, games, movies, and television shows are on sale at some pretty deep discounts, including Xbox One and Xbox 360 games.

Many of these sales are similar to those seen on Black Friday this year. Right now, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is $25.99. Need for Speed is only $25, despite having come out not even two months ago. The gorgeous metroidvania game Ori and the Blind Forest is $10. Batman: Arkham Knight is just $32.49 for the base package. There are piles and piles of deals that are taking games down by 30 and 40 percent across all genres. If you’re looking at backwards compatible titles, there are even a few of those – Fable II, Fable III, LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, and  Portal: Still Alive are each on sale for less than $5.

New deals are going up each day and week, as well.

If you can tear yourself away from the Steam sale, which starts today, there are a few great deals throughout the list. You can check out the sale through the Xbox itself, via the Xbox page, or even via the Xbox app on Windows 10.
