iPhone 7 “prototype” almost certainly a fake in likely hoax video

by Jacob Kleinman | December 22, 2015

The iPhone 7 isn’t expected to launch until late 2016, but Apple’s already hard at work on next year’s model. Knowing that, some folks are beginning to push out what seem to be fake leaks.

The latest is a video of an alleged factory worker examining a new iPhone before he or she is suddenly busted by what sounds like a superior. A voice offscreen shouts “Hey!” and the video ends abruptly. One has to wonder how the video would have been leaked to the Internet had the person actually been caught red handed. It also looks, at the very best, like a raw prototype device instead of something final – and that’s if this is even something more than just a dummy prop used for a hoax video.

Take this with a huge grain of salt and even then we’re probably giving it too much credit.
