Street Fighter V is confirmed to be appearing on PlayStation 4 and Windows PC when it releases next year. While it still won’t be appearing on Xbox One or Wii U, we do have one more platform to add to the list: Steam OS.
Capcom confirmed via the game’s official news page:
Hey everyone. I’m excited to announce that Street Fighter V will be officially supporting Steam OS! We are working closely with Valve on this endeavor, and will have more details to announce in the near future, so stay tuned for updates.
In addition to Steam OS support, the game will support the Steam controller on both platforms. If you’re already a part of the Street Fighter V beta, you’ll be able to test that out with the Windows version during this weekend’s session, which begins today.
The Steam controller is admittedly not the first thing I think of when I think of fighting games, but the controller’s customizability means it could be configured to be quite playable with the peripheral, and it’ll be interesting to see how fans respond to the addition.
