Super Mario Maker getting content in free update and web-based level browser

Super Mario Maker is about to change once more. Two separate updates were announced for the game this morning, one set brings changes to the game itself while the other will change the way players find courses. Both are coming next week.

Nintendo is rolling out Super Mario Maker Bookmark, which you see in the video above. You’ll be  able to use a web browser to filter and search through courses, bookmark them and play them later on when you’re in front of your Wii U. Very cool. The web portal will open on December 22, 2015.

As for the in-game updates, we turn to Nintendo’s UK arm for a video explanation.

Course makers will now be able to make bouncy bumpers, doors activated by P-Switches and a SHMUP friendly version of the Koopa Clown Car. These updates come as a download on December 21, 2015.

That’s another batch of free updates for a game that’s already wonderful. Are you still playing Super Mario Maker?
