PlayStation VR has a processing box the size of a Wii

When the PlayStation VR drops in 2016, it won’t plug directly into the PlayStation 4. Instead there’ll be a processing unit in between to decrease the size of the headset and assist the PlayStation 4 in keeping things moving smoothly.

The box, according to Polygon, is part of the final retail unit. It’s about the size of a Nintendo Wii according to their report, though they weren’t allowed to take pictures of the hardware.

Exactly what all the box is responsible for and what it looks like are both unknown. When I tried out the headset at E3 this year, the box was out of view (and the hardware may not have been final retail, to boot).

The headset is set to launch in the first half of 2016. And I will be buying it the second Rez Infinite is available.
